Did You Know That There Is No Love In Food?

Yes, many of us say...I Love Food, but if I can be honest about it. It's great to love food, it's nurturing and gives us fuel to do the day, however... many of us love food more than we love ourselves. I know, I have been there. Going through trauma since I was 11, and not having the people connections that we require...that's what I did, I buried it, and I ate, I don't know what, gained 10 pounds and then lost it by cutting back food, eating only yogurt for lunch and I lost the 10 pounds. We create a cycle where we feel bad, we eat food that is bad for us, then our body breaks down, and then we don't know what is going on with our bodies. The actual cause was never addressed, and I know you are right there with me.
Self-love is the answer..I hear you. I love myself, I care about how people treat me, and I know I deserve better, and I want to eat better, but I just don't know what to do with myself. I lost the weight, and then so and so happened, which isn't my fault, and I gained it back, or I stopped eating what I was eating, and I just gained the weight back. It's not my fault.
Believe me, I do get. I was there. I had so much crap going on mentally and emotionally along with things people had told me, I didn't feel I could eat healthy meals for a couple of years! It was driving me bonkers. Well, how could that be, you might ask. It's all about the mind. Your problem, my problem, it's all about the mind and what is held in it.
We can have emotional links to food because of the relationships that we have. Food is connected, in our minds, all the time because Aunt so and so gave me cookies to help me feel better, then they pass and we don't understand why we can't get enough cookies. There can be lots of mental and emotional links to food that cause us to eat the way we do, and it all can be shifted.
Being willing to go to those places and do something we have never done or maybe we have done it, I've done lots of things, counseling and EMDR, but it never gave me the results this did.
You see all those incidents that we have been through, even if we don't go back and look at them, they are affecting our central nervous systems and the choices we are making. Just like when you write, like I am sitting here writing, I am not going back to when I learned how to write, am I? Nope! My mind knows how to do it so well that I am just sitting here doing it without even thinking about it. The same goes for food, and so much more in our lives.
For many of us, we don't even know what is driving us, we just know why we keep doing it, then we beat ourselves up, even though we know it's not what is best for us! Let's GET OFF The beating ourselves up train....Right!!! It's not our fault! We weren't taught about the subconscious mind and it's power.
So, Miranda I hear you...I can hear you shouting, how do I get off the hamster wheel and do something different, I've tried the diets, I have tried and failed or I have succeeded and I gain it back.
I am looking for people to work with who want to make a huge difference in their lives and want to change it for the last time. If you want to take baby steps, that is up to you, you can do that, but the best results are received when you Go ALL IN on you and your dreams and do it until you create the results you want.
Here is the list:
Deciding that it is your time. If you are not ready to delve into this, it's okay, but saying you aren't ready pushes it away. However, if you jump into it because you know it's what you want, and you are ready to succeed and put yourself first. You will succeed. I have all the mindset tools, etc, to help you succeed, but that is all up to you. No one can do it for you.
Transforming the past to help you create the future you desire and the body you want makes all the difference. The past created the thinking you have, the thinking you have creates the feelings you have, and the feelings you have create the actions you take, and the actions you take create the results you have. Do you see how this keeps creating what you are experiencing?
Getting good, healthy food in your system to give you energy to feed and fuel your body and your mind.
Getting the right exercise and creating a love for yourself that you do it over and over again because you know it's the best thing for you, and you love yourself enough to do it by creating the discipline to do it. I have to say, not having all that stuff clouding up your mind makes a difference, too. Both cardio and weights, and that goes for women, too, using light weights. We are not men, it's all about small wins, a little bit at a time. Consistency.
You get support. What you focus on is what you get! Many people can do this on their own, but even I, as self-sufficient as I have been, getting support from like-minded people made all the difference for my success.
No, it's not about starving yourself and cutting back. It is about true lifestyle changes.
So, if you are ready to take a step in the right direction, go to this link and register for my upcoming workshop, The Empowered and Worthy Challenge on 5/21/25 at 6:30 PM CST and get registered! I look forward to seeing you there!
Lotsa Luv, Miranda
